Abstract (EN)
Lamiaceae family is one of the largest flowering plant in the world represented with 224 genera and 5.600 species. Turkey is an important gene center for the family with 45 genera, 565 species and 765 taxa. Sideritis genus contains more than 150 species in the family Lamiaceae, distributed in the world, especially in the Mediterranean basin. 55 taxa Sideritis of which 36 species are endemic to Turkey. Considering to taxonomicaly difficulties to identify in some species of genus Sideritis as using morphological keys, genetic relationships were tried to determine with DNA sequence analysis method . 17 taxa of genus Sideritis, naturaly distrubuted in Antalya province were sampled from 34 locations and each location is represented by three genotypes. For DNA analysis was taken leaf samples from the plant genotypes and the remaining parts of plants were used for the volatile oil analysis. In addition, some perennial species were made total phenolic substance analysis near to volatile oil analysis. For DNA sequence analysis were used chloroplast (trnT and trnL) and nuclear ribosomal gene (5.8 S) primers. The interspesific relationships were examined by these sequenced gene regions. According to the obtained results, the successful discrimination at the level of section was made with chloroplast primers However discrimination at the level of species was not accomplished. To obtain more precise results in terms of overcoming taxonomicaly problems in Sideritis species is come to the conclusion that as using the more number primers should be compared the more genes region. Volatile oil yield in the bulk materials of perennial species, belong to the locations, was found in the range of 0.0 to 0.3%. The location Akseki of S. congesta has the highest value of oil yield (0.3%). According to the results of content analysis total were identified total 55 compaunds in 22 volatile oil samples, belong to 10 populations, annual two of them and 12 genotypes. ß-pinene, ?-pinene, limonene, linalol, caryophyllene oxide, germakren-D and ?-kadinen amoung these compounds have attracted attention as prominent compounds in terms of both quantity and number of samples compounds are defined. The amounts of total phenolic substance in 14 species, selected from among the perennial species of Sideritis is expressed as gallic acid equivalent and varied in the range of 27.5 and 68.9 mg GAE / g . While the taxa of S. stricta, sampled from Akdeniz University Campus has the highest value (68.9 mg GAE / g), the lowest value (27.5 mg GAE / g) was detected in taxa of S. albiflora, sampled from Kemer location.
