Abstract (EN)

The airline transportation, which has been used by nearly 4.4 billion people as of 2018, brings about various epidemic health risks. The pandemic situations which we are nowadays facing more frequently, reveal the importance of these risks. Although factors such as the limited passenger space of the aircrafts used in airline transportation and the short arrival period to many countries set forth the importance of microbiological contamination, this subject has not been sufficiently studied and the studies regarding its role in global outbreaks have remained limited. In this thesis study, there has been a concentration in the literature void regarding this topic and it has been aimed to identify in details the microbiological potential. After the research in which the risk factors were determined, various formulas aiming at preventing bacterological risks have been prepared. At the same time the application of these material compositions in areas used inside the aircraft cabins and areas which the passengers are /are likely to be in contact with, take place inside the research.
