Abstract (EN)
The aim of the study is to examine the relationship between multifaceted leadership, selfefficacy and attitudes towards coaching of coaches in different branches of sports. For this purpose, the study was conducted with the relational screening model. The sample group consisted of individuals who are active coaches in different branches of sports with a total of 204 (n) participants. Four different forms were used to obtain the participants' opinions on the subject. These are Personal Information Form, Multifaceted Leadership Orientations Scale, Coach Self-Efficacy Scale, and Attitude Towards Coaching Scale. All raw data obtained were tested in SPSS (26th Version). In the data analysis process, firstly, descriptive analyzes were conducted and it was determined that they were suitable for the use of parametric tests. In this context, t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Pearson correlation analysis, which are relationship tests, were used. The research findings showed that the perception of multifaceted leadership orientation of female coaches was higher compared to male coaches; However, it was revealed that coaching self-efficacy perceptions and attitudes toward coaching did not differ significantly by gender. Furthermore, no significant relationship was found between the coaches' age and coaching experience and the variables of multifaceted leadership, self-efficacy, and attitude. The analyses also showed that there were no significant differences in relevant variables based on the type of institution the coaches worked for (public vs. private) or their status at the national team level. One of the most striking findings of the study is that as multifaceted leadership orientation increased, coaches' self-efficacy perceptions and attitudes toward coaching also increased. Similarly, an increase in self-efficacy perception corresponded to a positive increase in attitudes toward coaching. These results demonstrate that leadership characteristics and self-efficacy perception are important constructs that support coaching attitudes. Keywords: Coach, leadership, self-efficacy, attitude.
