Analysing of the knowledge level and opinions of coaching department students' about doping(the example of Bartin University)

The aim of this study is to determine the students' knowledge about doping and their opinions about the use of these substances. In the content of the study, it was emphasized the importance of knowledge of doping and doping substances of trainers who will train important athletes of future in national and international area. This research was carried out with cross-sectional approach and relational survey model which is one of the screening models. The sample of the study consisted of a total of 161 first, second and third grade students studying at the coaching education department of Bartın University in 2018-2019 academic year. As a data collectiontool, purpose-directed questionnaire was prepared and applied to students. The questionnaire was applied to the trainers and future trainer groups. The questions were prepared according to the level of knowledge of the students, their sports, age of sports and coaching levels in any branch, ifany. The students were approached with their coach identity and asked questions about doping agents and theiruse. The level of knowledge about doping was measured and the ideas about the adequacy of the training they received about doping at school and the ideas of implementation to the athletes were obtained. In the study, the answers given to some questions showed the importance of doping in our country. It is seen that the answers given to the students whether they have the necessary information about doping drugs are partly 52.4% in women and 27.9% in charity, and 54% in men and 24% in charity. With these results, it is seen that students should have more information about doping drugs. Another important finding of the study, Turkey do you believe they have enough knowledge about doping in coach no answer to the question of women and 42.6% men and 56.1% seems to be very high. In this study, it has been revealed that doping should be emphasized and it will shedlight on other scientific studies. Keywords: Coaching training students, Doping, Athlete.
