Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the adsorption of lead (II) ions and Isolan Bordeaux S-BLN dye from aqueous solutions on cellulose were investigated. The natural adsorbent cellulose in the study; The change in adsorption capacity was investigated by modifying with gelatin for dye removal and with lauric acid for removing lead (II) ions. FT-IR, SEM, XRD, TGA, and BET surface analysis methods were used to elucidate the characteristic properties of the adsorbents. The effects of factors such as pH, adsorbent dosage, temperature, contact time, and concentration on the adsorption of lead (II) ions and dyestuff from aqueous solutions were investigated. The data obtained from the experiments conducted under suitable conditions determined for adsorption were applied to various equations, and their suitability to adsorption kinetic and isotherm models was investigated. The adsorption process's thermodynamic parameters such as standard free energy, enthalpy, and entropy changes were also determined. Adsorption-desorption processes were carried out to examine the reusability of adsorbents.
