The clinical results of arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using aperfix system

Objective: The aim of this study is evaluating functional results of arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using the AperFix system. Matherial and Methods: We evaluated 32 patients who had minimum one year regular follow-up, undergo arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using AperFix system between January 2013-July 2014. The physical examination of patients were assessed at preoperative and the last control. Functional outcome was assessed using Tegner-Lysholm scoring system and IKDC 2000 (International Knee Documentation Committee) at preoperative and the last control. Results: The mean age of the patients was 29. Mean follow-up of patients was 19 months. the The patients' mean Tegner-Lysholm score was preoperative 57 and at the last control 97. Mean IKDC 2000 score was preoperative 38 and at the last control 90. Conclusions: It was found that the functional outcomes of patients who had arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using the AperFix system was consistent with the literature, safe and had satisfactory results with a low complication rate.
