Abstract (EN)

Although some methods about the similarity measure between neutrosophic sets have been presented recently, the number of studies on the similarity measure of interval-valued neutrosophic sets is very few. The similarity measures that exist in the literature are not sufficient in solving the still uncertain multi-criteria decision-making problems. Therefore, in this study, it is aimed to gain a new similarity measure to the literature and use it in the solution and to facilitate the resolution of decision-making problems. In more general terms, the shortcomings of similarity measures that exist in the literature have been identified, and a new interval-valued neutrosophic set-based similarity measure has been defined. By comparing the newly defined similarity measure with the existing similarity measures, the situations where the new measure is superior are determined. As a result of the study, two models were constructed by applying the similarity measure first to a similarity-based decision making method and then to the MABAC method, one of the multi-criteria decision making methods. After solving a decision-making problem, the results were compared with other similarity measures and interpreted.
