Abstract (EN)

This study examines the challenges in transferring rhetorical elements in translations from Arabic into Turkish and proposes effective solutions to overcome these issues. It provides a comparative analysis of Arabic and Turkish in terms of grammar, vocabulary, rhetorical devices, and stylistic features, highlighting how these differences lead to difficulties in conveying rhetoric effectively. The research employs a qualitative method, specifically content analysis, by compiling a carefully selected corpus of Arabic-to-Turkish translated texts and analyzing them for rhetorical transfer problems. Findings reveal significant obstacles in achieving full meaning transfer due to grammatical, lexical, rhetorical, and stylistic differences. The study offers practical recommendations for translators, such as fully understanding the source text, applying appropriate linguistic and cultural strategies in the target language, and functionally conveying rhetorical elements. Ultimately, this thesis aims to contribute to the literature on Arabic-Turkish translation by addressing rhetorical transfer challenges and providing a strong foundation for enhancing translation quality
