Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this study is to examine the Iraqi writer Ali Bader's novel Papa Sartre in the context of existentialism and to exemplify the concepts such as irony, absurdity and nausea through the so-called philosophical life of the central character of the novel, Abd al-Rahman. For this connection, the treatise will also include the course of existentialism in Europe and the Arab world, the interaction between literature and philosophy, the function of literature in the sense that the individual recognizes his/her freedom and responsibility in existentialism and influences other people in this way, and concerned with all, the issue of engagement in literature will be examined.
