Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, it is aimed to design, synthesize and elucidate the structures of hydrazone derivatives containing the aryl sulfonate group as specific effective new chemical compounds that can be drug active ingredients. Firstly, sulfonate ester aldehydes (1-9) were obtained by reacting 4-(trifluoromethyl)benzenesulfonyl chloride selected as starting material and phenolic aldehydes under suitable conditions. Secondly, as a result of the condensation of the synthesized aldehydes and isoniazid compound in ethanolic medium, some new hydrazone derived compounds (10-18) containing pyridine ring in their structure were synthesized. The reaction follow-up of all synthesized compounds was done by Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC). Spectroscopy techniques such as FT-IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR and elemental analysis (CHNS) methods were used, in the elucidation of the structures of the synthesized compounds. Considering the biological activities of hydrazones, it is predicted that the new hydrazones will have more than one biological feature.
