Abstract (EN)
The main aim of this study is to gain new outcomes by analysing the term ?medium? which takes place in the eudaimonistic, teleological ethics of Aristotle. The term of moderate or golden mean is a kind of attitude which is recommended among most of the religions and ethical approaches. Through ancient philosophy, the term of midcourse or mosetes is discussed among the same semantics field with the terms of measurement, balance and justice. While this term, in general, was discussed superficially in other philosophers' idea world before Aristotle, he studied the related term within all aspects of the idea through his ethics of virtue. Though he had no doubt about its being a true manner, this term is not recommended as a common idea for every one. With this aspect, the ethics of him can be identified as a science of morality instead of a philosophy. While discussing the term of medium, which can be seen in his ethichs and generally through all his philosophy, following items are analyzed; the general specifications of Artistotle ethics, ethichs-politics, the epistomological view of Aristotle (primarily the relation of ethichs-law), his method approach, understanding of spirit, logic, metaphysics. In short, all basic principles of the philosophy are emphasized while forming this study. This study is formed upon the analysis of the term ?medium? and within the the ethics of Aristotle's which he constructed by asking various questions such as What is the aim of humankind? What is the true action and how is it accomplished? What is good for human? How can the human, who has the ability to acquire virtue intrinsically, find the true manner to reach the ideal ethical level. It can be clearly seen that this study means understanding the term of ?golden mean? correctly, analyzing the ethics of him.
