Özet (EN)

This thesis analyzes the economic, social and foreign policy transformations in two Latin American countries; Argentina and Venezuela after neoliberalization period that has implemented neoliberal politics since 1980's. The transformations of these two countries are analyzed within the context of post-neoliberalism and anti-neoliberalism which emerged from the failure of neoliberalism. Furthermore, this study tries to answer to what extent these two countries have grown away from neoliberalism. This thesis is organized in three main chapters. Liberalism and neoliberalism, anti-neoliberalism and post-neoliberalism, born out of liberalism, are defined in the first chapter. The second chapter focuses on the neoliberal period in Latin America, and the thesis ends with the endeavors to demonstrate that post-neoliberal politics were implemented in Kirchner's Argentina and anti-neoliberal politics were implemented in Chavez's Venezuela.
