First bronze III pits found at the Küllüoba in the light of archaeozoology finds

Küllüoba Settlement is located in Yeniköy, Seyitgazi District of Eskişehir Province. The excavations started by Turan EFE in 1996 and continue today, Assoc. Dr. It is headed by Murat TÜRKTEKİ. Studies have found that the settlement was inhabited continuously from the Late Chalcolithic to the Middle Bronze Age. In this study, a total of 2732 pieces were identified in archaeological pits dated to the early EBA III and late first Bronze Age III phases of the Küllüoba settlement (ad.- NIS) weighing 25581.4 grams (net.- WIS) faunal remains were examined and evaluated. According to Faunal remains, domestic and wild animal species in the early and late EBA III stages of the settlement were determined. According to the determined domestic species, the red meat-based nutrition and secondary production of the communities that lived in the early and late EBA III stages were investigated. In addition, the Number of Identified Specimens (NISP) and Minimum Number of Individuals-MBS (MNI) methods, which are very important from the archaeological point of view, were used under one roof and their results were compared and interpreted. The results of the Küllüoba settlement based on mammalian animals of the early and late EBA III stages were compared and their similarities and differences were evaluated. In addition, the similarities and differences were revealed and evaluated by comparing the results of the mammals that were studied and determined belonging to the previous periods and stages of the settlement.
