Abstract (EN)
Aşık Deryami is one of the representatives of minstrel literature of the 20th century. Like his predescessor and contemporary minstrels, he lived as a member of ordinary people, and naturally, grew up with folk culture. This is why the elements of folk culture are intensely seen in his works. However, like most of our values, Deryami was neglected and did not draw enough interest in his life. This study aims to study the elements of folk culture in Minstrel Deryami?s poems as well as to carry the minstrel tradition which is an important part of folk literature and folk culture to next generations. Within the framework of this goal; Minstrel Deryami?s life, works and the analysis of the elements of folklore in his works are included in our study. Also the difficulties of Deryami?s life and the dramatic struggle of his existing himself in these difficulties with the help of poetry are discussed. And also we wrote about what was said about him.The only book written about him has been scanned with great care. The partaking proverbs, idioms, place names, proper names, names of plants, furnishings, clothings, food and beverages, local sayings, beliefs, animals, occupations, ethnicities, folk poets and minstrels, historical personalities, slangs, prayers-curses, religious motives, family relationships, musical instruments, fairy-tale motives, diseases, medications, etc. in the book are written one by one. ?Rose? and ?nightingale? which are the indispensible words for both divan literature and folk literature and which Deryami used most are written with the page and verse numbers. The datas above are also shown in a table at the end of the study. The elements of folk culture (proverbs, idioms, local sayings, beliefs etc.) in Deryami?s poetry are mainly examined in this study.
