Abstract (EN)

Every religion has own special days and nights. The religion of İslâm has such as blessed and important days and nights also. One of them is the day of Ashura that is the tenth day of Muharrem ul haram. Whn we look at the history of İslam, there are some historical cases refered to today. In addition, the Prophet Muhammed's words about today has been a pasticular importance. In this study, rumars related to the day of Ashura that is considered as an important day are examined. In the first part of this study whick has two parts, the importance given to the day of âshurâ, it's historical dimension, the understanding and implementation of Ashura in İslam, Judaism and Shi'a are discussed in detail. In the second and third part, the deed and text analysis of the rumars that are the source of this is done and evalvations related to the helth status and the isse are made. In the end of the resarch, it is found that there are outhentic, weak and fiction among the hadiths related to the subjects. Keywords: Days of Ashura, Fasting, Muharrem ul haram, Rumar.
