Abstract (EN)
Proverbs, consisting of our ancestors aspects, thoughts, advices and experiences, are oral literarture products. Since the first written texts, they have been old compenents of our language and culture.In this study named "Daily Life in Proverbs", the general features of proverbs are classified. Various subject titles relevant to daily life were determined and reviewing the works of Ömer Asım Aksoy, Aydın Oy, Metin Yurtbaşı, Selim Kurnaz the determined subjects'proverbs were ranged.According to the result, the major points of our nation's daily life stand out in proverbs. There are a lot of proverbs noticed by our nation such as courage, hospitality, neighbourliness, helping each other and kindness etc. In this study, it is examined how various issues in daily life appear in Turkish proverbs.
