Abstract (EN)

Cinema, which extends to the present day with the development of the French film industries, also causes the birth of the New Wave French cinema. With the Auteur theory, which emerged as a theory within the New Wave French cinema, it is also seen that cinema extends from the society to the individual. Filmmakers such as Truffaut, Godard and Resnais, especially Bazin, create a language of cinema that makes people think and question when they refer to the individual who remains the other in the face of society. Therefore, cinema, which was reborn in France with the Auteur theory, reveals Auteur cinema and its directors with this innovative understanding. Auteur cinema, which continues to develop in the world, constitutes the New Era Turkish cinema in Turkey. Reha Erdem, Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Zeki Demirkubuz, Yeşim Ustaoğlu, Semih Kaplanoğlu and Derviş Zaim are some of the auteur directors of New Era Turkish cinema. When we look at the films of the directors, we see that the concepts of time and space in Reha Erdem's first feature film, A Moon, represent the whole film story. In the movie How Much Money, this time the director creates the story of the movie through the image. The main part of the story in I'm Scared Anne consists of the concept of identity. In the movie Five Times, the story proceeds with the concepts of time and space. It is seen that the concept of belonging forms the main story part of the director's film Hayat Var. In the director's film Kosmos, the concepts of story time and space are provided. In Jin, the main story is provided by the concept of belonging. The main story of the movie Big World consists of the concepts of time and space. Identity is the main concept in the director's last feature film, I Found You. On the other hand, with Nuri Bilge Ceylan's provincial trilogy, Zeki Demirkubuz's trilogy of stories about darkness, Semih Kaplanoğlu's Yusuf trilogy, Derviş Zaim's traditional Turkish handicrafts trilogy and Yeşim Ustaoğlu's films, the directors' language of cinema, mostly individual subjects. and creates time, space, identity, image, and belonging elements. Based on this, the structural analysis method will examine the time, space, identity, image and belonging elements in the films directed by Reha Erdem.
