European Union's free trade agreement wi̇th thi̇rd countries and the effects to Turkey

The European Union establishes ralations with many countries through signing trade agreements. Although Turkey is not an EU member, the Costum Union is affected by the free agreements signed by the EU with third countries. In this context, the first part of this thesis will give information about what is STA and why it is done and the general content of the European Union's trade relations with third countries. In this context, the legal basis of the EU's commercial relations in the founding treaties (Treaty of Paris, Treaty of Rome, Maastricht Treaty, Amsterdam Agreement, Nice Agreement, Lisbon Agreement) will be included. In the second part, the relations between European Union and third countries will be examined in the context of free trade agreements. In the section that will begin with the importance of free trade agreements for the EU, the countries where the EU negotiates on the STA will be examined in two parts, which are still in the negotiation process. The final chapter will begin with Turkey's EU process will continue and STA will occur due to economic and political expectations. In addition, the impact of the TTIP, planned to be realized between the European Union and the United States, on the Turkish economy will be included. Turkey has signed FTAs with the European Union will be evaluated and held in side section will be completed by the effects of the FTA with Turkey. Following the critical literature review, tables will be formed with the data obtained from official sources and evaluations will be made on the collected data within the framework of hypothetical analysis.
