The effectives of different body of european larch (Larix decidua Mill.) on quality feature of particleboard

Abstract (EN)

In this study, the differences among the physical, mechanical and surface properties of particleboard produced with particles produced from the different body heights of European larch (Larix decidua Mill.) were investigated. Accordingly, the particles were produced from the 0-3m, 3-6m, 6-9m, 9-12m and 12-15m body height of European larch (Larix decidua Mill.). As the body height increases, a decrease in the fiber length and wall thickness and an increase lumen width were observed. However; increasing amount of hemicellulose was determined while amount of cellulose, lignin and holocellulose decreased. Also, with an increase in body height, decreasing of 1%NaOH solubilities, hot water solubilities, cold water solubilities and alcol-benzen solubilities, decreasing of pH were seen. Chancing of anatomic and chemical properties which have important role in determining of particleboards? mechanical, physical and surface properties of wood depend on an increase in body height affected negatively to mechanical, physical and surface properties. While values of density and moisture amount don?t change, an increase in rate of water absorption and rate of increase in welling and a decrease in values of modulus of rupture, modulus of elasticity and internal bond strength were determined. Also, increasing of contact angle and surface roughness was seen with increase in body height. The best physical (rate of water intake, rate of increase in thickness), mechanical (modulus of rupture, modulus of elasticity, internal bond strength) and surface properties were determined the particleboards which produced from particles obtained from 0-3m body height. The particleboards which produced from particles produced from 0-3m and 3-6m body height were determined to provide the perceived conditions for general usage, indoor applications, as charge carrier on dry air and as not charge carrier on wet air usage.
