Özet (EN)

Historical studies on Yakuts and Tunguses in the Republic of Turkey are scarce. Yakuts and Tunguses do not have a writing tradition and that they live in remote parts of Siberia geographically made it difficult to work on this society. Most of the research done is on language and ethnogenesis. The desire to reach new information about the historical and socio-cultural structures of the Yakuts and Tunguses led us to the notes of European travelers who visited the East Siberian region and gave detailed information about the settled population. As a result of resource research, the travel books of five European travelers who went to the northeast of Siberia in the first half of the 19th century were determined. Research has been done on the biography of the travelers. Turkish and English research works on Yakuts and Tunguses were examined. Travelogues provide important information about the origin, geography, language, social and cultural structures of Tungus and Yakuts. With these researches, the identities, historical adventures, geography and socio-cultural textures of the Yakuts and Tunguses were tried to be revealed. This study aims to draw attention to the increase in historical research on Yakuts and Tunguses in the Republic of Turkey, to encourage future historians to research Turkish history and culture in Siberia, to emphasize the importance of travelogues for Turkish history, to reveal the social life of Yakuts and Tunguses in the first half of the 19th century. Keywords: Yakuts, Tunguses, Travelogue, Eastern Siberia, 19th century.
