Determination of morphological characteristics of wild asparagus (Asparagus acutifolius L.) populations located in Kocarli vicinity in Aydin province

This research was cunducted to determinate morphological and phenological properties of wild asparagus specie (Asparagus acutifolius L.) at different altitude of choosen four villages (Çakmar, Güdüşlü, Çulhalar, Mersinbeleni) in Koçarlı region. There were given about some botanical properties of wild asparagus, structure of consumable part of spears and seed properties. Flowering period was observed from end of august to october, and ripening fruit continued until the end of January. Edible spears were seen beginning from first week of February, which was firstly in Güdüşlü village. As a result of weighted-ranking analysis, while the best genotype in respect to spears values and important plant properties were observed in Çakmar village, the best fruit and seed data were in Çulhalar village.
