Determination of harmful aphids (Hemiptera: Aphidoidea) and their parasitoids and predators on stone and pome fruit trees in Aydin province

Abstract (EN)

The aim of the study was to determine the aphids and their predators and parasitoids on stone and pome fruit trees in Aydın province in 2013-2014 years. According to results, 18 aphid species belonging 8 genera of two families were determined. Also totally 30 species of natural enemies were obtained. The most dominant species of the aphids on the most common fruit orchards and trees were Hyalopterus pruni (Geoffroy) on plum and apricot, Myzus persicae (Sulzer) on peach, Myzus cerasi (Fabricius) on cheery, Aphis pomi (L.) on apple and Dysaphis pyri (Börner) on pear trees in Aydın. Predators, Adalia bipunctata L., Scymnus subvillosus Goeze, Coccinella septempunctata L., Episyrphus balteatus (DeGeer) and Leucopis glyphiinovora (Tanasjitshuk), parasitoids, Aphidius colemani (Viereck), Aphidius matricariae (Haliday) and Aphidius transcaspicus (Telengat) were the most common and abundant natural enemies of aphids.
