Abstract (EN)
Thesis examines the fundamental conditions of human existence in the novels of Ayhan Geçgin from an ontological perspective. The study's purpose is to analyze the existential themes in Geçgin's works in detail and to reveal the author's approach to the ontological problems faced by modern humans. The work focuses on how the author's novels reflect the complexity of the individual's inner world and their existential search. It has been determined that the fundamental ontological conditions of human existence such as alienation, nothingness, death, freedom, responsibility, loneliness, and the search for meaning are handled in a highly distinct and functional way in Ayhan Geçgin's novels. Through the characters created by the author, the deep existential anxieties of the modern individual, their continuous search for identity, and the complexity of the relationship between humans and the world, which is full of internal conflicts, are shown in detail. The author's novels invite readers to reflect on the human condition and to confront the fundamental questions of being human, leading them to a deep existential questioning. In this sense, the novelist holds a mirror to the reader with his works, encouraging them to think about their own existential reality. This thesis aims to reveal the philosophical depth of Ayhan Geçgin's novels and the striking insights they offer into human nature.
