Abstract (EN)
DC-DC (Direct Current-Direct Current) converters are widely used for different purposes such as DC motor control and switched power supplies. In recent years, studies on converting uncontrolled voltage at the input of the converter to a desired voltage stage as a controlled voltage have increased. In this thesis, a non-linear back-stepping controller for the DC-DC Buck converter is designed and tested in real time. Some disturbing effects were applied to the designed system and their effects were observed by using MATLAB / Simulink toolbox. In large power transducer applications, parasitic elements should be considered in the development of the state space average model, since the role of the parasitic effects of the transducer is dominant. The designed controller provides control over a wide range of output voltages. The MATLAB / Simulink toolbox was used to evaluate the accuracy of the designed controller and real-time experimental setup was observed. Furthermore, the results obtained were compared with a standard PID controller under the same conditions to evaluate how the intended controller reacts. Simulation results and real-time result of non-linear back-stepping controller provided better responses (transient and steady state responses) compared to the standard PID controller.
