Abstract (EN)
In this research, electron impact ionization cross sections of nitrogen molecule are presented. In electron collision experiments, electron beam with specific energy interacts with atom/molecules of target gas and the outgoing particles are detected with respect to their scattering angle and energy. The outgoing particles are quantum particles that are interacted with each other. Scattering phenomena can be understood only if the interaction potential and particle's wavefunctions are correctly determined. In this thesis, electron impact scattering and ionization process for N2 (3σg) at 250 eV incident electron energy is investigated. First, calibration studies are completed before the TDCS measurements are done. In this sense, elastic and inelastic scattering of e- N2 collision is searched for different kinematics. Measurements are completed in Electron Collision Laboratory (eCOL) located in Afyon Kocatepe University.
