Abstract (EN)
In the present study, the parasite fauna of three goby species; the monkey goby Neogobius fluviatilis (Pallas, 1814), the tubenose goby Proterorhinus marmoratus (Pallas, 1814) and the marbled goby Pomatoschistus marmoratus (Risso, 1810) collected from the Bafra Fish Lakes were investigated throughout a one-year period (December 2010-November 2011). A total of 222 specimens of 3 goby species Neogobius fluviatilis (n:161), Proterorhinus marmoratus (n:45) and Pomatoschistus marmoratus (n:16) were investigated for ecto- and endoparasites.In this research study, sixteen different parasites species were identified; four species of Ciliophora, Trichodina domerguei Wallengren, 1897, Trichodina acuta Lom, 1961, Trichodina sp., Ichthyophthirius multifiliis Fouquet, 1876; one species of Monogenea, Gyrodactylus proterorhini Ergens, 1967; six species of Digenea mtc; Ascocotyle tenuicollis Price, 1932, Tylodelphys clavata Von Nordman, 1832, Diplostomum spathaceum Rudolphi, 1819, Apatemon sp., Posthodiplostomum sp., Echinostoma sp.,; one species of Cestoda; Bothriocephalus acheilognathi Yamaguti, 1934; three species of Nematoda; Spiroxys contortus (Rudolphi, 1819), Eustrongylides sp., Contraceacum sp. and one species of Arthropoda; Ergasilus sieboldi (Nordmann, 1832). Spiroxys contortus, Eustrongylides sp. were occurred only in Neogobius fluviatilis, Contraceacum sp. was occurred only in Proterorhinus marmoratus, T. acuta, D. spathaceum, Apatemon sp., Posthodiplostomum sp., B. acheilognathi, E. sieboldi were occurred in both goby. Trichodina acuta, G. proterorhini, T. clavata and Echinostoma sp. were found all goby species. The highest number of parasite species were recovered from Neogobius fluviatilis and Proterorhinus marmoratus (15 and 11 respectively), while it was 6 in Pomatoschistus marmoratus.The distribution of the infestation/infection prevalence (%) and mean intensity (per infested/infected fish) values of parasite species recorded in three goby species was determined according to fish species, seasons and lakes. The Czekanowski?Sorensen index (Ics) was used for comparing similarity of parasite faunas of goby species, seoson and lakes. The highest similarity (Ics:76.92) was observed in the parasite fauna of N. fluviatilis, and Proterorhinus marmoratus.
