Gray mold (Botrytis cinerea Pers.) disease in vineyard and its control

This study was made to determine the effects of different spraying programs in the control of Gray Mold (B. cinerea) disease in the vineyard. The study was conducted in Üzümlü district of Erzincan province in 2015-2016. The study was made in randomized block trial design with 4 replicates in a farmer vineyard with 5 decare contaminated with the disease, in the Karaerik grape cultivar. In the study, forecasting early warning model for Gray Mold in vineyard established on leaf wetness duration and temperature, 4 applicable programs known as Standard method in the Europa and the program offered at the disease control in Plant Protection Technical Guideline was used. Applications were made according to these programs in the control of the disease. The effects on the disease control of these applications were statistically evaluated. Cultural and chemical applications made together and regularly every year were increased the success in the control of the disease. It was been determined that chemical control with the disease should be initiated before the flowering period. The highest efficacy in the control with disease was been in the application that made according to forecasting early warning model for Gray Mold in vineyeard (respectively %77,77; %87,00). According to this model, the first spraying in the control with disease was made before the flowering period of grapevine. The lowest efficacy in the control with disease was been in the application that made according to Plant Protection Technical Guideline (respectively %64,77; %68,19). In this aplication, the first spraying was made at beginning of berry ripening (veraison). The efficacy of the application that was made according to standard program in the control with disease, was been in second place (respectively %75,81; %81,18). According to this program, the first spraying was made after the flowering.
