Abstract (EN)
In this study, various microphones and miking techniques are analyzed, used in translating the bağlama, which is one of the most important instruments of the traditional Turkish folk music, into the digital platform. In the study, properties of microphones, a short history of Turkish folk music, bağlama family and general properties of bağlama is introduced and spectrum analyze graphics of sound samples of bağlama, which are taken using various microphones and miking techniques are analyzed and compared to each other. It is observed that when the diaphragm sizes and positions of microphones are altered, significant changes on some frequency ranges appear.
