Abstract (EN)
This research examines the relationship between individuals' attachment styles and their job performance in coping with stress in work life. Attachment styles that affect the individual from birth to death also occur in the individual's work life. These attachment styles define the individual and express many characteristics of the individual, including the perception of the individual's relationships in his work and workplace. The focus of this research is how individuals' attachment styles affect the individual in work life and how this effect shapes the individual in cases where the relationship on job performance reflects on the individual. In the research, attachment styles are examined according to their types and the "Three-Dimensional Attachment Styles" Scale is used to measure these types. Attachment styles analyze individuals' coping strategies with work stress. Additionally, factors such as individuals' effectiveness, motivation and job satisfaction are also examined to understand the relationship between attachment styles and job performance. Nowadays, the performance and efficiency of employees at work, from professionals in the business world to managers in human resources, are being researched and tried to be increased. This research aims to provide important information for people working in these positions I mentioned. According to the results of findings, it can contribute to the development of work management and stress coping skills and determination of strategies according to the attachment styles of individuals in the work life. Additionally, it will contribute to studies in these areas in order to provide practical suggestions regarding coping strategies for individuals' career development. A total of 202 people, 126 women and 76 men, participated in the study within the scope of the sample of 18-50 year old individuals working in Adana. The personal information form created by the researcher was prepared to learn the personal information of working individuals. In the study, the "Three-Dimensional Attachment Styles" scale was used to measure attachment styles. "Coping with Stress Scale" was used to measure the levels of coping with stress and "Individual Job Performance Scale" was used to measure the performance of individuals. The data collected from the participants was analyzed with "IBM SPSS 27", a statistical program. As a result of the analyses conducted according to demographic characteristics, no statistically significant relationship was found by looking at the gender, income status, age and education levels of the participants. Additionaly, it was found that there was a statistically significant relationships between attachment styles and levels of coping with stress and job performance. It is suggested that these findings can guide employers and human resources professionals in developing stress management and performance enhancement strategies by considering the attachment styles of employees.
