Literary and cultural environment in post-independence Algeria (1962-2018)

In this doctoral thesis "Post-Independence Literary and Cultural Environment in Algeria (1962-2016)" we tried to reveal the course that the Modern Algerian literature has followed, and the phases that it has gone through from its independence to 21st Century. In addition to that we tried to show effects of factors such as revolution and independence, the socialist movements in 70's, social issues such as immigration and identity problems, first and foremost on the social life and in turn on the literary life itself, especially in the post 90's, when the civil war - also called the Dark Decade - that came to place in Algeria as a result of the elections won by the Islamists
