Abstract (EN)
Since the days when metal ores began to be processed in ancient times, heavy metals have begun to spread to the atmosphere and soil as a result of human activities outside of natural cycles. The effects of heavy metals have been used for a variety of purposes unknowingly for centuries. With the start of industrialization, coal containing heavy metals started to be burned, and as a result, the amount of heavy metal pollution in industrial areas has reached large dimensions. The mixtures of air and water pollutants that occur in industrial activities into the soil occur by chemical means. The pollution that occurs in the soil is one of the types of pollution that cannot be recycled and removed. Although agriculture cannot be done on these lands, these lands remain as waste. There are more than 35 metal elements exposed in nature, 23 of which are heavy metals. Metals higher than 5g/cm3 are defined as heavy metals. Chromium (Cr), mercury (Hg), copper (Cu), lead (Pb), nickel (Ni), zinc, iron (Fe), cadmium (Cd) and cobalt (Co) are the most common heavy metals. Heavy metals emitted into the atmosphere can damage the ecological balance by mixing with wet and dry accumulation and groundwater, soil and surface waters. In this research, in which the level of heavy metals in the top soil conditions of the forest vegetation with different stand conditions around the Bartın Organized Industrial Zone and the Bartın Cement Factory was determined; In the forest vegetation area in Bartın Organized Industrial Zone, the average value of Cu is 24.76mg/kg, the average value of Zn is 48.13mg/kg, the average value of Mn is 153.25mg/kg, the average value of Ni is 43, 96mg/kg, mean value of Cr 57.14mg/kg and mean value of Pb 64.45mg/kg. The average value of Cu is 35.83mg/kg, the average value of Zn is 54.39mg/kg, and the average value of Mn is 132 in the topsoil samples taken from the forest vegetation around the Bartın Cement Factory, which constitutes the second part of the research material, in 4 repetitions with 50m intervals. It was determined that the mean value of Ni was .34mg/kg, the mean value of Ni was 28.45mg/kg, the mean value of Cr was 41.52mg/kg, and the mean value of Pb was 75.23mg/kg. In the study, it was determined that the average values of all heavy metal species determined in the upper soil level in both locations were within the limit values determined by FAO and the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization. However, this situation should not overshadow the fact that the stand soil has gradually started to be polluted by heavy metal species in the plant sociology groups in the forest vegetation areas in both regions. In this context, Cu, Zn and Pb heavy metal types were found at higher levels in the forest vegetation area around the Cement Factory compared to the OIZ region, but Mn, Ni and Cr heavy metal types were found higher than the average values in the top soil conditions in the forest vegetation area in the OIZ region.
