The president's status and powers in presidential system

The presidential powers constitute one of the elements that determine the characteristics of the presidential system, which is based on the rigid separation of powers and balance control mechanism. In presidential system, the powers of the president differ in Latin American countries that attempt to adapt the system in question, taking the USA as an example, and the USA itself where the system originated. The main reason for this difference is that in the US presidential system, which has built the separation of powers and balance control mechanism on a solid foundation, the blockages in the system can be circumvented merely by minor crisis, whereas in Latin American countries the will to bring forth a powerful president vis-a-vis the Congress exist in order not to let the blockages in the system transform into a regime crisis. Such powers given in Latin American countries to the presidents for the purpose of preventing the blockages in the system, not only moves the system away from being pure, but also causes democratic crisis by being ineffectual in solving the issue. The way to prevent any possible conflict, which is caused by the presidential system between the legislative and executive organs from transforming into a regime crisis, is not the empowerment of the president with superior powers but the improvement of the settlement culture in such countries.
