Printmaking emerged in China in the 700s. The use of these early prints for gaming purposes and the printing of playing cards occurred quite recently. The popularization of both games and printing in Europe happened with Gutenberg's discovery of the printing press in the 1440s. This union has always facilitated the development of both cultures. Thanks to printmaking, games have become more sophisticated. Workshops have earned revenue through games. The ability to purchase playing cards or game boards at affordable prices has played a role in the public owning printmaking artworks through playing cards and in the development of collecting habits Keywords:
