Abstract (EN)

The subject of our study is the employer's wage payment debt according to the Press Labour Law. Journalist who fall under the scope of the Labour Law, the idea and art works done by these people, wages, wage appendixes and wage types within the scope of labour law, working periods in the press labour law, overtime and wage entitlements for this overtime works, annual paid leave, wages and regulations of five percent surplus payment to be paid in the event that it is not paid on the day, and whether the regulations constitute a contradiction to the Constitution were examined within the scope of Supreme Court decisions and doctrine opinions. In the first part of our study, the scope of the Press Labour Law, which employees are counted as journalist within the scope of the Press Labour Law, the terms of employment contract between the journalist and his/her employer, employer, workplace and employer reprensentative concepts are included. In the second part, the concept of wage, the scope of the wage and its appendixes, types, the sprecial legal regulations made about the wages of the worker are included. In the third part, the types of wages which are not return for work such as illness, military service, pregnancy, detention, daily and weekly working hours, overtime and the amount of wages deserved, situations of entitlement to paid annual leave, and in this case, regulations regarding the wages to be paid. In the fourth part, a detailed examinations were made about the cases where the journalist is not paid on time and the results. v In the conclusion part, our final opinions regarding who is a journalist under the Press Labour Law, wages, wage types and appendixes, wage types to be paid without working, working hours and overtime, annual paid leave, and the results of the journalist's wages not being paid on time are included.
