Comparative analysis of puplic and private sports facilities in Batman province in terms of accesibility standarts

Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the public and private sports facilities in Batman in terms of accessibility standards and to evaluate their current status in terms of accessibility. A total of 20 sports venues, 10 public and 10 private, were selected within the scope of the research. These venues were determined by random method among all the facilities in Batman province. The research was carried out by survey method, and for the determination of the accessibility the nationally valid indoor and outdoor spaces accessibility determination form of the Ministry of Family and Social Policies was used. The determination form is limited to 7 titles and 62 questions. Titles; parking lots, entrances, ramps, toilets, corridors, elevators and stairs. In the research, the accessibility arrangements of public and private sector sports facilities, which were taken as a sample in Batman, for the disabled were determined and according to the results obtained, 61.1% in public sports facilities and 25.4% in private sports facilities were found at the level of "Inadequate". As a result of this analysis, it has been revealed that Public facilities are in better condition in terms of accessibility according to the accessibility regulation criteria.
