Özet (EN)
Recently, the amount of CO2 emitted to the atmosphere with industrialization is increasing every day. The cement sector, which has a significant share in CO2 emittions, needs alternative binders when sustainability targets are taken into account. For this reason, compability of plasticizers have recently been one of the important research topics, especially on the use of alternative binders in the industry. In this study, the compatibility of cements produced with green and yellow tuffs from Bayburt region with two different plasticisers based polycarboxylate (PK) and melamino formaldehyde (MF) was investigated. Standard consistency and setting times were determined on cement pastes prepared with these chemical additives. In addition to these, workability by flow table method, compressive strengths at 2nd, 28th and 90th day and apparent porosity of mortars produced with blended cements were investigated. As a result, it has been observed that PK and MF based additives have the effect of reducing consistency water of blended cements. It has been determined that PK-based additives reduce water at a higher rate in two blended cements, but the use of PK at rates higher than 0.5% is not appropriate. Chemical additives have significantly changed the physical and mechanical properties of blended cement mortars. The use of 0.5% melamino formaldehyde additive in the binder produced with 40% green Bayburt tuff increased the compressive strength at the age of 28 days by 20% and was measured as 46.3 MPa.
