The study is a quantitative study patterned according to the general screening model. The study sample consisted of 411 adults aged between 18 and 58, residing in the central district of Bayburt province and agreeing to participate in the study. The questionnaire form, which was used as a data collection tool in the study, was prepared by the researcher by examining previous studies on the subject. The questionnaire form used as a data collection tool consists of three parts. In the first part of the questionnaire, there are demographic questions; in the second part, there are fifteen descritive questions about organic agriculture product information, information sources, product preferences, opinions about the consumption of these products, and factors affecting organic product purchasing preferences. In the third part of the questionnaire form, there is an attitude scale consisting of thirty-eight items. The analysis of the data was done using the SPSS package program. The researcher interpreted the research findings, taking into account the results of the descriptive analysis, independent samples t-test, one-way analysis of variance, and correlation analyses results. According to the research findings, it is understood that the study participants know the essential characteristics of organic products; and the sources of information on organic products are mainly the media and people in their immediate surroundings. They prefer organic products because they do not contain chemicals, hormones, or additives, and the places where they buy organic products vary. It was determined that the participants think that organic products are expensive, cannot reach organic products, and need information about organic products. Twenty-eight sub-hypotheses were developed based on demographic variables related to the attitude scale in the second part of the questionnaire form. According to the analysis results, fifteen of these hypotheses could be accepted and thirteen could be rejected.
