Abstract (EN)
Inflammatory responses play an important role in the development of various stages of cancer - malignant transformation, invasion and metastases. Today, drugs with anti- inflammatory and anticancer effects cause preference limitations as they can cause high toxicity, low efficacy and drug tolerance. For this reason, research on the synthesis and design of anticancer and anti-inflammatory drugs with lower toxic properties and high potency has gained importance. Since the thiazole ring is included in the molecular structure of the compounds used in the treatment of various diseases and cancer, it is also of great importance in in terms of new research and the development of more effective drugs. Within the scope of this thesis, the inhibitory effect potentials of 2,4 disubstituthiazole derivative compounds on cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes and their cytotoxicity values on A549 and L929 cell lines were evaluated by MTT method, and apoptotic activities of the compounds were evaluated by apoptotic effect tests. In experiments with MTT, it was observed that the compounds with the code HAL3, HAL5 and HAL9 had closer effect values on the A549 cell line compared to the cisplatin positive control. However, there was no data on the inhibitory activities of these three compounds on COX-I and COX-2. HAL2 and HAL10 coded compounds showed the best results in COX inhibition experiments. The general findings obtained as a result of our study, on the other hand, formed the idea that compounds with the code HAL3, HAL5 and HAL7 may have good anticancer effect potential, and showed that thiazole derivative compounds can be used in drug development studies related to their main areas.
