Abstract (EN)

In this study, effects of some 2-aminothiazole derivatives such as 4,4'- (disulfanediylbis(methylene)) bis(thiazol-2-amine) dihyrochloride (DMTA) and 2- amino-4-(chloromethyl)thiazole hydrochloride (ACT) on glutathione reductase (GR) from baker's yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) were investigated. The GR enzyme was exposed to 2-aminothiazole derivatives concentrations ranging from 0 to 500 ppm. There was a relative decrease in GR activity with the increasing of DMTA concentrations. It was observed that there was no significant statistical change in GR activity with increasing ACT concentrations (p>0.05). As a result, DMTA containing disulfide bridge had relative inhibition on GR, ACT without disulfide bridge did not inhibit GR.
