Abstract (EN)
Artichoke (Cynara scolymus L.) Artichoke, which is in the Asteraceae family, is intensively cultivated in coastal areas in our country. Its homeland is considered to be the Mediterranean basin and the island of Cyprus. Artichoke is produced in our country with the offshoots called bastard among the producers, which are formed in the root and root throat of the plant. Due to its flower structure, it loses its varietal characteristic because it is highly foreign fertilized and production with seeds is not preferred among producers because wilding (reversion) occurs. For this reason, in artichoke production, the vegetative production method, which has all the characteristics of the mother plant, is common. Seed production, on the other hand, is commonly used in breeding studies. Since there is no root development in the offshoots separated from the mother plant in the spring period, the rooting rate decreases and empty areas are formed in the land due to the inadequacy of the maintenance conditions in direct planting on the land. Seedling and time loss will be minimized and the unit area in the field will be utilized more with a production method that will increase the rooting rate with rooting-enhancing practices and under cover conditions where the shoots are in a smaller area and together. In our study, IBA was used as rooting stimulant and Trichoderma harzianum fungus, which is easily available as a commercial preparation, was used as rooting stimulant. Trichoderma harzianum application gave the best rooting result (88.9%), while IBA application was close to Trichoderma harzianum application with high 125 ppm (80.5%) and the lowest rooting (51.4%) was obtained at 1000 ppm dose. As a result, it was concluded that Trichoderma harzianum application provided better rooting than the selected doses of IBA in the rooting of Bayrampaşa artichoke offshoot.
