Abstract (EN)

The occurrence of some undesirable effects formed by microorganisms that cause disease in the organisma is called infection. Antimicrobial agents take first place among the drugs used in the treatment of infection today. The most important problems encountered in the treatment of antimicrobial drugs are the resistance of microorganisms to these drugs in a short time, lack of knowledge of the biochemistry of these microorganisms and some side effects of these antimicrobial drugs. These problems necessitated the development of new antimicrobial agents. It was aimed to synthesize 15 novel 2-benzoyl-3-substituted benzofuran derivatives which simultaneously contain benzofuran ring and dithiocarbamate group. The structures of the compounds were determined by IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and mass spectroscopy. The activity of (2-benzoylbenzofuran-3-yl) ethanedithioate derivatives synthesized in this city was tested on Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus Methicillin-Resistant (MRSA), Salmonella typhimurium, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Candida species and MIC values between 15.63 – 1000 g/mL were obtained. When the antimicrobial activity isconcerned, the most active compound was determined as compound 4g. Keywords: Benzofuran, Dithiocarbamate, Antimicrobial activity
