Effects of different sowing times on agronomic, morphological and biochemical changes in some bean genotypes

Abstract (EN)
In order to ensure the sustainability of agricultural production, it is vital to preserve the diversity of our genetic resources. In order to improve the genotype properties of varieties available in our country, the characteristics of local village genotypes have to be demonstrated in the field of bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). In this study was established in Bayburt University with 3 replications according to the Random Blocks Trial pattern in Bayburt University Organic Agriculture Research and Application trial in order to determine the agromorphological, biochemical and quality characteristics of local bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) genotypes of different sowing times. In the research, a total of 7 bean genotypes, 5 local sugar bean genotypes and 2 registered varieties, were planted on 3 different planting dates (07 May, 22 May and 6 June). Agromorphological features such as output time, flowering time, ripening time, plant height, first pod height, number of main branches, number of branches, number of plants per square meter, number of pods, number of beans in pods, number of grains in the plant, pod length, broad bean width, single plant yield, 1000 grain weight, grain yield were examined. Within the scope of biochemical propertiestotal phenolic, photosynthetic pigment, proline, carotenoid, malondialdehyde (MDA) amount in leaf tissues were investigated. As a result, the effect of different sowing times on the parameters investigated, output time, plant height, stem thickness, first pod height, pod width, number of pods per thousand, grain weight, grain yield, physiological death time, chlorophyll a, chlorophyll c and carotenoid were found to be statistically significant. However, the effects of differences in sowing times with parameters such as branch number, pod length, pod number, chlorophyll b, proline, MDA, total phenolic compound content are statistically insignificant. The highest unit area grain yield was obtained from Suludere genotype's 1st sowing time application on 7 May with 199.467 kg / da. The lowest unit area grain yield was obtained from the 7th sowing time application of Konursu village genotype with 59.300 kg / da.
