Morphological and anatomical studies of some species of pilosella hill (compositae)

SUMMARY Morphological and Anatomical Studies of Some Species of Pilosella Hill (Compositae) In this study, 4 Pilosella (Compositae) species were examined in point of morfological and anatomical features. The examined species were collected in their vegetation periods from Trabzon and Gümüşhane in 1999. The collected plants are protected as herbarium and stock materials. Identifications of the species and the morphological investigations were determined from herbarium materials. During anatomical study, cross sections were taken from the roots and stems of 4 Pilosella species (P. officinarum, P. bauhini, P. hypeuryum, P. densiflora) breadthly. From the leaves of the species, cross sections were taken breadthly and also superficially. After coloring the all taken cross sections, the permanent slides were prepared from them. In this study, compared anatomy of the determined species are investigated firstly. It's seen that the anatomical properties of these species are similar with the typical anatomy of the dicotyledons. But, some anatomical differences are found among the species. There are two rows exzodermis in the roots and three vasculer bundles in the leaves in P. bauhini, in contrary to the other investigated species. The central parts of the P. hypeuryum' s stems consist of sclerenchymatic cells as a difference from other species. Key Words: Pilosella, Systematic, Anatomy VI
