Abstract (EN)
The placement of the sulfonamide derivatives on the anticancer effect in recent years has positive results. It is also known that thiazole derivatives have different pharmacological activities. We searched for the anticancer effect in synthesized compounds where the sulfonamide and thiazole rings are linked by the nitrogen bridge. 1-(Benzothiazol-2-yl)-2-bromoethanone or 2-bromo-1-(1-methylbenzimidazol-2-yl) ethanones were reacted according to the procedure of Hantzsch to synthesize 4-[(4-substituted thiazol-2-yl)amino]-N-arylbenzenesulfonamide. These compounds (Compounds 1-10) were tested against glioma cell, human breast and human lung cancer cells by cytotoxicity assay and cytometry methods. Enzyme activity in DNA was examined by gel electrophoresis.
