Abstract (EN)

DETERMINATION OF VITALITY PERFORMANCES BY FIELD AND LABORATORY STUDIES IN SOME FEED PEA SEEDS (Pisum sativum spp. arvense L.) BEFORE AND AFTER STORAGE This research was conducted in six different feed pea seeds before storage; storage in room conditions and in cold storage, after storage; This study was carried out with the aim of determining the viability performances by field and laboratory studies. The research was carried out in two phases as field and laboratory studies. First stage; Pre-storage germination and conductivity tests were applied to seeds obtained from plants grown and harvested in the laboratory. In the second stage; The seeds obtained after the harvest were stored in normal room conditions and at +5 °C - 60% humidity for 3 months in a cold storage. Then the seeds were subjected to field and laboratory analysis. The germination test was applied to the seeds at 20 °C for 8 days in a sand environment, the conductivity test after being kept at 20 °C for 24 hours and the field emergence test was applied in 7.5 m² areas planted under suitable conditions. In addition, germination rate and germination power, plant height, number of flowering days, green grass yield and hay yield were also determined. In the research; It was determined that the highest conductivity value belonged to the seeds stored in room conditions and to the Uysal variety, the highest germination rate and germination power values were determined to belong to the seeds stored in the cold storage and Taşkent variety. However, it was determined that the highest field output power value belonged to the Nany variety stored in cold storage and the highest plant height value belonged to the Özkaynak variety stored in cold weather. As a result of the research, it has been determined that the germination and conductivity test is a classifier in determining the strength of seed lots in feed peas and can be used in determining the plantability values in the field because it is fast, reliable and repeatable.
