Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this doctoral thesis is to synthesize new formazan dervatives which has a wide application area and to calculated some of physical constants. In this study, first stage eight new substituted phenylhydrazone compounds were obtained by condensation reactions of 4-methoxybenzaldehyde with substituted phenylhydrazines. This compounds were used as starting materials to synthesis of new formazan derivatives. In the second stage, twenty four new formazan derivatives were synthesized by coupling reaction of substituted phenylhydrazones with the diazonium salt of 4-chloro-2-phenoxybenzenamine, 2-(phenylthio)benzenamine and 2-benzoyl-5-chlorobenzenamine. The structures of compounds were characterized by using elemental analysis and FTIR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, LC-MS, UV-Vis., spectroscopic techniques. In the last part of the thesis, some physical constants (fluorescence properties, the effects of substituent on absorption spectra of the compounds) of the novel synthesized formazan derivatives were determined.
