Examination of physical education teachers' body language use skill levels (Example of Manisa province)

People are in constat of communication. People are constantly interacting. Altought, words come to mind when communication is mentioned, one of the communication methods that can replace words is non verbal communication. The aim of this study is to examine the differences between physical education teachers' body language use levels and age, gender and Professional seniority. Single scanning method was used in this study. Data was collected by questionnaire. Physical education teachers working in the central districts of Manisa province in the 2020-2021 academic year constitute the samples of the research. The body language scale developed by Tok and Temel(2014). The questionnaire consists of two parts. First part contains personal information, and the second part includes body language usage information. The questionnaire was applied to the teachers and data has been collected. Data is processed to Spss program and independent sample T test, one-way analysis of variance, Scheffe multiplecomparison tests were applied. In the study, a significant difference was observed between the body language level and gender. Body language use of female teachers is higher than male teachers. A significant difference was observed between the body language level and Professional seniority. Body language use of teachers wıth 11-20 years of seniority is hıgher. . A significant difference was observed between the body language levels and age. It has been observed that the use of body language by teachers in the 41-50 age range is higher. The study can also be done in different province and regions. Traning can be given about on the subject. Adaptation seminars can be held for teachers who have reached a certain age.
