Özet (EN)

This research aims to examine the relationship between the nutrition habits and nutritional information levels of physical education teachers. A total of 201 physical education teachers of women (n=53) men (n=148), who served in schools under the Ministry of National Education of Corum, participated in the study. As a data collection tool, "Personal Information Form", "Nutrition habits Form" and "Adult Nutrition Information Level Survey" are used. Scales have been applied online using Google surveys. The collected data has been analyzed using the SPSS 22 package program. The level of normality of the data obtained is one Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov, One-way Analysis Of Variance (ANOVA) and Independent T testing used to compare scale scores. Homogeneity data Scheffe and Hochberg GT2 tested with Post-Hoc multiple comparison tests. In the study of the relationship between classificated variables, the chi-square independence test was used. Spearman Correlation analysis was used to examine the relationship between scale scores. The level of statistical significance is set to p<0.05 and p<0.01. Emotional circumstance nutritional behaviors of the participants are affected by their gender and age, while the number of meals consumed is affected by their age and BMI value. (p ≤ 0.5). There is a significant difference between the number of meals and the value of the Body Mass Index and the number of nutrition issues, but no significant difference was determined between the meal skipping. As a result of our study, the nutritional information levels of physical education teachers were examined and it was seen that the average score they received from the basic nutrition sub-dimension was at a medium level and the average score they received from the food preference sub-dimension was at a good level. The nutritional information levels of the physical education teachers who eat slowly, receive nutrition education, exercise and describe their nutritional status as well have been significantly higher. No meaningful relationship was found between the number of meals consumed by the nutrition level, the consumption of the snacks and the consumption of foods defined as light, diet, diabetes, low calorie (p>0.05). As a result, the nutrition habits of physical education teachers were not bad, but the levels of nutrition were found to be inadequate. The necessity of giving regular and effective nutrition education to physical education teachers both in the faculties they graduated from and during the time they work comes to the fore.
