In the research, as data collection tool, "Akademik Öz-düzenleme Ölçeği (AÖÖ) has been used, whose original name is "Five-Component Scale of Academic Self-Regulation" (FCSSR) and whose Turkish adoption works have been carried out by the researcher. Exploratory Factor Analysis has been used in order to examine the factor structure of the Scale which is consisted by the scores obtained from Turkish students (SPSS 18.0) and (LİSREL 8.3) Confirmatory Factor Analysis has been used in accordance with the approach in the development of authentic scale and with the study carried out by support of experts' opinions. So, the factorial legitimacy of the scale, in other words, its structure legitimacy has been examined by means of two different factor analysis applications. Consequently; The results obtained have shown that the scale items demonstrate a good harmony with the relevant models with structures. The scale has four factors and goal-setting sub-dimension is 14 items and Cronbach alpha internal consistency coefficient is α=.928, support sub-dimension is α=.879 (4 items), strategy implementationα=.930 (14 items), strategy monitoring α=.947 (15 items) and the total of the scale has been found to be α=.969 (48 item) and it was determined that the scale was reliable. İn the findings pertaining to the scale that was adopted for university students, meaningful differences have been observed on the students in physical education and sport teaching departments, on the basis of sex, the class studied in, perceived academic success and regular sport making habits.
