Abstract (EN)
Quality is being defined in many different ways. Those definitions alter the meaning ascribed to quality concept, and the meaning assigned to this concept shapes the perception of quality. With the effect of globalization, revision in higher education understanding has changed the expectations of stakeholders too. Even though the quality perception or approach in higher education changes, students who benefit from the higher education service lie at the basis of all understanding or approaches, as well as the quality definitions. In this research, it was aimed to examine the perceptions of the education quality of the students who are educated at Bartın University BESYO. The population of the study is all students studying at Bartın University Physical Education and Sports Teaching Department. The sample consisted of 357, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students studying at undergraduate level in "Physical Education and Sport Teaching Department", "Coaching Education Department" and "Recreation Department". The study is a quantitative research and is designed by the general review method. Data collection instruments of this study are Paktaş (2015)," Educatıon Quality in Unıversities Offering Sports and Phsycial Education" and personal information. Independent group t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), Levene test, Tamhane T2 test and Pearson Correlation test were performed on the data obtained from the study. In addition, descriptive statistics such as frequency, percent, standard deviation, and mean were used. And the data are analysed and interpreted using statistical techniques with SPSS 25.0. Educatıon Qualıty in Unıversities Offering Sports and Phsycial Education of students' perceptions are examined based on gender, age, department and grade variables. As a result, the following results were obtained : Grade variable did not form significant difference in undergraduate student perception to the education quality (p> 0.05), variables such as gender (at Physical Conditions and Measurement Evaluation subscales), and department (at all subscales except Teaching Methods) did form a significant difference(p<0.05). Also, as a result of Pearson Correlation analysis for age and socio-economic level variables: as students' age increases, education quality perception opinions regarding sub-dimensions of Executive Characteristics, Executive Vision, Teaching Staff Characteristics, Educational Programs and Measurement Evaluation decrease. In socio-economic level variable, while the students' the socio-economic level increase, education quality perception opinions of all scale sub-dimensions also increase. The results obtained in this study are thought to be of a quality that will shed light on the work to be done at Bartın University Departmnet of Physical Education and Sports and other higher education institutions in the future.
